Welcome to Free Spirit Plays &Musicals
We offer high quality shows written by actual teachers and musicians with years of experience producing crowd-pleasing shows for your theater program or school. You can download everything you need to produce a great show! Our shows have been produced by large and small theaters as well as middle and elementary schools. These plays are moving and humorous adaptations of classic stories that each have rave reviews!
Our musicals are primarily based on classic children's stories. The songs in these plays expose participants to a variety of musical genres and the scripts try to honor the style, mood, spirit, and tone of the original works as much as possible. All the music in these plays was composed by Bob Nicoll, a musician who has composed, directed and performed for numerous theaters over the years including The Lyric Stage, the Boston Center for the Arts, both in Boston MA, as well as many theaters and schools in Massachusetts.. All the scripts were written by Jen Davis, a licensed public school teacher.
These plays are sure to inspire a love for musical theater in the performers and audience alike.

What’s Included
All the materials you need will be provided including: the script, performance and rehearsal downloadable MP3 music files, the piano and vocal score, and helpful director's notes about production, costumes, and needed stage props. You will be given the option to purchase 1-5 performance licenses.

“Absolutely! Additionally, your pieces would be well suited for theatre programs that are just beginning to be established. With your plays, communities get a fully realized piece with reasonable royalties. You also allow for flexibility in terms of casting and level of spectacle.”
